Construction Estimate
High rise building is supported on a reinforced raft concrete foundation. Calculate the cost per cubic metre to supply and place concrete using a concrete pump at a price of $295 per hour including an operator and a crew consisting of 5 labourers ($31/hour each), a cement fisher ($39/hour) and a foreman ($40/hour). With this set up concrete is placed in 7 hours and the transportation and set up of the pump costs $290. The work consists of supplying and placing 112 cubic metres ($180/cm) of concrete into the footings. Calculate the unit rate for each of the labourer, material and equipment per cubic metre as well as a total cost per cubic metre.
